Things have been pretty tough at work. Penny and I have hardly had time to play ridiculous video games against each other.
Bands are still playing around the place. This one was called Gold Tango, and boy was their drummer good!
This is the lovely Houlette, starring Felicity, Ceci, some other nice people and a cool woman who plays the harp who we were hanging with at Banjo's jamboree. They launched their single and Tim had filmed Super 8 footage which was projected onto the wall behind them. There were also biscuits!
The grand final was on and after several tastes of spring, we ambled down to meet Tom at his mate's house, where the air was thick with the smell of anxious, seething, good natured men. There were women there too, but they didn't smell.
Conor was in town! As were Leah and Ed, but that hardly merits an exclamation mark. Post game, a saints supporter rushed out past us, crying, to have a little vomit down the side of the house. He was fine after that.
The woman over the road had these dogs! Like smiling, squashed luckdragons.
End of season kick of the footy.
Here's a recreation of when Miro (Cathy's dog) was pretending to play the organ the other night. The first time, we were grimacing through a bizarre skipping screening of the Graduate and Miro just started bounding sideways up and down the keyboard for no apparent reason - hilarious. This time, there was a pig's ear involved.
Dinner at the Middle Eastern. Amanda! Conor and Olivia were there too, but as Conor already got one and Olivia lives here, they hardly rate exclamation marks as well. Oh, ok. Conor and Olivia!
I must say, you've never really 'done' port until you've tried it from a port flute!
A slightly seedy Sunday brunch.

Sofia is constantly creating art at the moment.
Here's one she did of Riley:
And Riley returned the favour. Fia may not have been quite as cooperative a model, but he managed to come up with something.
The finished product.
Milo and I hatched a successful plan to go and see Ponyo at the movies.
On a less positive note, bloody Sam broke his leg in NYC. Thinking of you, Sam!

Howdy friend.
My mate came across your blog looking for pictures of the Pinnacle hotel in fitzroy, and rang me straight away. I was the drummer in the band you took a few snaps of, and also the creator of the unicorns team banner. you can just see me running through the banner wearing black wrestlers tights. Sweet blog. Would be interested in a few photos you might have if thats at all possible. Cheers, and keep up the good work you busty bugger. You seem to have done more in the last three weeks than ive done in the last three years:). Xave (xavevaughan@gmail.com)
also I meant busy, not busty, goddam my lack of proof reading... xave
