Recuperating again
My face is on the mend
I flew back to Adelaide for a while
This was my view most of the time
I've been taking quite a few of these, amongst others
The compression of the plane hurt my head, so I came back by train. Plus, it's a good trip, especially if you are going to be just sitting and reading anyway.
Came back for another CT scan. All clear!
And went to Wilson's Prom for a few nights with gary and Sarah.
Still getting crazy headaches and feel tired and woozy, but feeling much better, and finally have some energy in my body again. Thanks to everyone for their messages, visits, care packages and kind wishes. It's been a crazy month and I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Crashed
I will go into more detail presently, but on Saturday I skated down a hill and collided with this van:
It was going pretty fast and I was airlifted to hospital. Brett took this of me that night.
I'm amazingly lucky I'm not dead. This is the name of my file:
No internal bleeding, broken nose, broken rib, grazes all over me. This is me yesterday following plastic surgery.
I finally got out of hospital this afternoon. Thanks for all your messages and visits, they have made it so much easier to deal with. I feel incredibly lucky and even more interesting.

3 for $12
I spent an enjoyable end to the afternoon in the park, drinking a Coopers with Chris, who had just finished work,
Prior, who always has a few good stories to tell,
Dan, who has a strange way of doing up his shoelaces,
Leigh, who I just met, not sure what his story is
and Luke G, who had been on a shopping spree.
Prior was getting antsy because the free drinks had already started at an opening over in Armadale. Chris wasn't keen on going, because he felt he looked like a bum.
People can be cruel with their eyes. I think he looks happy!
But what do I know? Good times.

Cliched skate experience!
We were just cruising the streets of San Diego following the 'quake...
What do we have here?
Apparently, the abandoned house it's behind is an old brothel.
Sweet graffiti
Following a bit of fence-sitting, we sprang into action.
Didn't take too long to empty.
The spa
This guy Jeff shreds. He introduced himself to me as we left, even though we've met several times before. Must have been the moustache and new summer hat I was wearing, much like a disguise kit. Come to think of it, he looks a bit 'Guess who?' himself.
Joey and Nick
It was like skating a wallride. Kilderry handled it fine. I used the knee excuse.
After that, we ended up going to Frankston, which was awesome. Good times driving stories with Joey and Ryan. Then I went to Joey's for pizza and beer. We had to do a beer run, handled with characteristic charm by Joey:

Pot luck
We had a get together at our place on Sunday. It was a pot luck, so everyone had to bring something to eat. The results were spectacular, delicious and a tad overwhelming.
This was frst course, featuring Luke G's lamington surprise, Joey's never fail corn chips and salsa, my baba ganoush, Marilyn's Italian stack, Prior's finely cut fruit salad, Corinne's sweet chilli salad and Tim's vegan spanakopita. Just a taste of what was on offer over the course of the evening.
A sheepish, back on board Joey and a food preparing Kat
Prior, repping Cock and Bull winery and his new glasses.
Luke G sampling one of his famous UK lamingtons.
Twelve bags deep posse
Pun masters, Benno and Tom
Zoe and Tom
A lively debate arose on the identity of this toy mushroom. Rochelle maintains it is a sting ray.
Ackroyd, Raynee (obscured), DVI, Mick (poor man's DVI), Tree and Rhys
Sarah made me a delicious cake and everything. They sang happy birthday, I mumbled a terrible speech and Prior finished it, thanking Sarah for me.
We kicked everyone out before midnight, being a 'school night' and everything. The next day, Sarah spoke to our neighbours and they said they didn't hear anything. Sweet, next time we should get some kegs and a band!
It was quite a gathering. Thanks to everyone who attended, sorry if I was a tad overwhelmed. Daylight saving is here, I say more pot lucks and bbq's all round.
